Ashitha Nagesh is a digital world news journalist for BBC News in London. 

Her original journalism includes pieces on vegan anarchists in St Petersburg, Russia; the mental and physical health impacts of slaughterhouse work; and several pieces on insecure work and its role in entrenching racial and class inequality.

She has produced pieces for BBC World Service Radio and Radio 4, and has discussed her work on BBC Outside Source on World Service Radio, BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine Show, and BBC Asian Network.
